The Benedictine Way is proud to be a partner in Episcopal Migration Ministries’ Rainbow Initiative. The Rainbow Initiative promotes support for people who have fled their countries because of persecution based on sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and/or sex characteristics.

We are part of the organized effort to educate our community and surrounding communities about the plight of LGBTQ+ forced migrants, and raise support amongst our fellow Episcopalians in Nebraska. Community members are preaching and teaching at: Church of the Resurrection, Omaha, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Omaha, St. Martha’s, Papillion, St. Augustine’s of Canterbury, Elkhorn, St. James, Fremont, and St. David’s, Lincoln.

Links to sermons will be included below as they become available. We hope you will join us in raising awareness and supporting our brothers, sisters, and siblings in the LGBTQ+ refugee community.
