Copyright Act Notice

Privacy Policy
This privacy policy sets forth the privacy practices of The Benedictine Way and only applies to information collected from thebenedictineway.org.
Personal information that you have entered into our various webforms (name, email, address, phone number, date of birth, allergies/dietary restrictions, pledge) is collected in order to track and respond to your submissions, prayer requests, retreat requests, and applications. Information sharing policies for each of our forms are detailed below. All forms share information with Squarespace, our website hosting provider, so that they can provide website services to us.
Unless you indicate otherwise, prayer requests submitted online are read aloud at our public prayer hours. We do not include the email associated with the request.
Information entered into the Young Adult Residency form, both retreat forms, and our contact form, is shared with our Deans and relevant ministry leaders.
Information entered into the Pledge Form* is shared with the Prior, Deans, Treasurer, and Director of Finance.
*Note: The exact amount of your pledge is recorded in the diocesan office and shared only with the Prior, Treasurer, and Director of Finance.
The Benedictine Way collects your information when you provide consent; for purposes which are required by law; and for the purposes of responding to requests by government, a court of law or law enforcement authorities conducting an investigation. The Benedictine Way uses your information where it is necessary to fulfill our legitimate interests, which include operating our website, providing information and services described on our website, communicating with you via newsletters to which you subscribe, responding to your applications, requests, and questions, and informing you of areas of interest available.
If you no longer want The Benedictine Way to use your personal information, you may request that we remove you from our mailing lists and other internal lists by contacting azimmerman@episcopal-ne.org. However, The Benedictine Way may retain your personal information for as long as is necessary for our legitimate business interests and to comply with legal obligations.
Some functions on our website are managed by third parties which have their own data privacy policies (Google, PayPal).
